Hey everyone! Hope y'all are having a wonderful start to your summer!

Here is an update to the ByAnnie Bowl Me Over bag that I have been working on. The progress is moving slowly as expected. All the pieces are quilted, straps are made, and some of the components are completed now. I am needing to make the interiors which includes two different types of pockets. Here are the parts that will make up the front of the bag.

In the last post, I also showed y'all the fabrics that I was going to use to make Ben the Beginner Bear by Funky Friends Factory. If you like to make stuffed animals, her patterns are fantastic! The bear is completed and the class will be this Saturday. I would love to see you in class, if you live in the Houston area. I have to admit that I'm pretty proud of matching the fabric design on the back seams, arms, ears, and legs.

Now what do you think is in the box? It is beautiful fabric for an upcoming quilt design! My apologies, but I can't share it with you yet. It sure is difficult to keep a secret. I really think y'all are going to like this design.

Happy Sewing and see y'all soon!

I feel like a kid out of school for the summer. My "day" job is a tax professional. I enjoy it tremendously; however, it is nice when tax season is over and things slow down a bit. I will still be working in the office some and I am looking forward to quilting and sewing more over the next months.

I am currently in the middle of working on some commissioned projects and at a bit of a standstill while searching for just the right fabrics to complete them. You know how fun it can be to shop! Also, I am working on some new designs.

Along with all of those things, I am learning a new skill. ByAnnie has a pattern named Bowl Me Over 2.0 and I decided to join a group that is slowly progressing through the pattern. I have made bags before but never one in this style. These are my fabrics and my extremely slow progress. I am looking forward to seeing it completed.

If you are in the Baytown Texas area, I will be teaching two upcoming classes at Katie B's Quilt Shop and would love to see you in class. Logs All Around which was featured in the March/April 2023 issue of Love of Quilting will be taught on May 13, 2023 with the publisher's permission.

The second class will be Funky Friends Factory's Ben the Beginning Bear on June 17, 2023 with their permission.

These are the fabrics that I am using for my class sample. Do you think it will be a colorful and fun looking bear?

Well, time to get back to all of these projects. Hope you all have a great day and enjoy time with your family. I get to take my granddaughter to a music class this evening and am so looking forward to seeing her and her parents.

Hi! Welcome to the Kimberly Sue Creations blog. I am happy that you are here. My hopes are to share new designs, projects in progress, tips and tutorials.

One of the most exciting things to happen is that I have a design in the March/April 2023 issue Love of Quilting Magazine. I was designing in Electric Quilt 8 and came up with this traditional based quilt using various types of log cabin blocks. You can imagine my surprise and excitement to receive an email saying that they wanted to publish my design!

The digital issue of the magazine can still be purchased through this link: https://www.quiltingdaily.com/product/love-of-quilting-march-april-2023-digital-edition/. If you only want to purchase the Logs All Around pattern, this is the link: https://www.quiltingdaily.com/product/logs-all-around-quilt-pattern-download/?query=logs.

As you can probably see, I like both traditional and modern styles and design using them both.

I am in the process of designing and writing new patterns. It has taken a bit due to my "day job" of being a tax professional. A couple of more weeks and work will slow down quite a bit.

Looking forward to "seeing" you soon.
